Easter Basket

How fun is this cake? It is simply several layers of yellow cake carved into the shape of a basket, then using the basketweave technique I frosted it to look like an Easter Basket. The candy on top is actual Easter candy, but everything below is in deed cake.

I should also point out that this is the first cake that someone actually ordered from me, and payed me for. Pretty crazy that! A whole new level of stress suddenly emerges when you are making a cake for someone else, but honestly, any day I get to make a cake (whether for me or someone else) is a pretty great day!!
